The Urine Culture and Sensitivity (Aerobic) test is a laboratory procedure designed to detect the presence of bacteria in a urine sample and assess their susceptibility to various antibiotics. The test involves inoculating the urine sample onto culture media that support the growth of bacteria under aerobic (oxygen-rich) conditions. After incubation, the presence of bacterial growth is assessed, and if present, the bacteria are identified using biochemical tests or automated systems.
